Ghaziabad: A Brief Overview

Ghaziabad is a city and a district centre in Uttar Pradesh, founded in 1970 by emperor “Ghazi-ud-din”. Being one of the nation’s significant educational, industrial and commercial hubs, this part of NCR is growing at a phenomenal rate.

To start, it’s 20 kilometres from Delhi, 10 kilometres from Noida, and about 50 kilometres from the nearest airport, IGI Airport New Delhi. The climate is similar to that of Delhi, with temperatures ranging from 30-45 degrees Celsius in the summer to 5-25 degrees Celsius in the winter, with the monsoon season beginning in late June and early July.

Coming to the education for Kids

Windsor, Saya, Gyan Khand, and Indirapuram (a wonderfully crafted side of Ghaziabad) are residential communities with prominent institutions like DPS Indirapuram, Presidium School, and JKG International, among others, all of which are 2-3 kilometres from Noida and 6-8 kilometres from Anand Vihar, New Delhi.

Food in Ghaziabad

It’s the ideal hideaway for foodies who consider every day of the week to be a ‘cheat day.’ The frenetic speed of the city, as well as the seemingly endless number of fast-food intersections on every corner of your street, will entice you to ride your bike in the evenings. Windsor Street, Navyug Market, Crossing Republik, and Santosh Medical are just a few of the spots where you may take your taste buds for a drive-thru.

Connectivity inside the city

The funniest element of the city is that distance is measured in multiples of Rs.5, which is how much an autorickshaw costs. The cost increases or reduces in a multiple of 5 as the space grows or decreases. In typical traffic, a shared autorickshaw from New Vijay Nagar to Noida Sector-62 cost only Rs.10 and took 15 minutes.

The city is well-connected by the Railways and 3 highways NH-24, NH-34 and NH-9, running between Delhi, Lucknow and Haridwar. The popular mode of transportation includes Buses, Trains, Autorickshaws and Cars. The central railway station is Ghaziabad Junction in New Vijay Nagar, and the Bus stations are on GT Road & Ambedkar Road.

Coming to your Home

The city offers you the residential space to settle in your dream home as per your lifestyle. Rajnagar, Rajnagar Extension, Kavinagar, Crossing Republik, Model Town etc., are the places where you can go for premium class Villas and Flats most suitable for millennials. Whereas places like New Vijay Nagar, Pratap Vihar, Nandigram, etc., are the localities made for the 70’s kids. There are also luxury hotels like Radisson Blu, Clarks Inn in Kasushambi and Le Crescent, Golden Tulip in Indirapuram, among many others, for short term stay during your relocation.

Something for Everyone

Generations-old temples like Dudheshwar Nath, Mohan Nagar Temple, Sai Mandir etc., keep the faith of our older generation in place; on the other hand, malls like Shipra Mall, Opulent, Red Mall etc. are the major attractions of the teenagers. In terms of malls and shopping complexes, you can find at least 2 in a row within every 5km. For your never-ending love for sports, there are sports academies like Social Sportz, RS Cricket Academy, Mahamaya Stadium, Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium, etc., for all kinds of sports.

The city also offers the most significant education hub with the most schools in a 1Km area. From B.Tech of ABES, AKGEC, JSS etc., to MBBS of Santosh Medical College, you name it, and you will find it. The renowned schools like DAV Public School, JKG, DPS, Dehradun Public School, GD Goenka Public School etc., are up to 12th standard and affiliated to CBSE, ICSE and UP boards.

The city still has the essence of children playing in the parks and celebrating regional festivals while maintaining social networking culture. The spectrum of people you will find in this city is overwhelming, and you can always rely on your friends to have your back.

With excellent connectivity comes excellent traffic. So, the trade-offs that you might want to consider while relocating to Ghaziabad would bebe-the traffic on NH-24 and the driving skills of the autorickshaws. But you can always beat them by Carpooling and using Uber, Ola and other ride-hailing services, which are always minutes away.
